Congratulations to Walt Norman and our entire Memphis division on 35 years. Our Memphis office first opened their doors in January of 1984. We are thankful for all of the contributions your team has made in making our company successful.
For more than 15 years, Venture’s Corporate and Atlanta offices have been holding a “Venture Chili Day” each January, where we have either made a huge pot of chili to share or held a “Venture Chili Cook Off”.
This year, we had 11 entries for Best Chili and we added a new category – Best “Non Traditional” Chili. We were delighted when Richard Krabbendam, with FirstBank, won. Richard drives down, from Chattanooga, each year with a pot of his homemade chili.
Congratulations to our Winners!
First Place – Jeff Gaston, Atlanta
Second Place – Larry Hubbard, Corporate
Third Place – Tammy Baughman, Corporate
Winner (Non Traditional) Chili – Richard Krabbendam, FirstBank/Chattanooga, Vice President – Commercial Relationship Manager
Congratulations to our Nashville team on their first free-standing Hooter’s, built in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma!
I want to let you both know what a pleasure it has been to work with all of you! I also want to give a huge shout out to Freddie. He has been passionately involved and dedicated to this project. There is nothing I like better than for working with a team that rallies around the same goal and I sure had that on this project! Freddie has gone above and beyond to obtain the C of O! Yesterday I thought for sure our temp C of O was in jeopardy but he was able to get the full C of O even though the sign installers were conspiring against us. If it weren’t for Freddie we would have missed the turnover, I am very grateful for his work!
In the future I would love to put this team back together again!

The City of Port St. Lucie seems very happy with their recently completed Miller Ale House. The entire City Council came out to present Tom G. with the Certificate of Occupancy.
Pictured are Vice Mayor, Chief Building Inspector, Tom G. and Miller Ale House’s Regional VP.
Congratulations to our Greensboro team! It is a beautiful building!
